The LEGO Navigators have completed their mission, exploring renewable energy through LEGO EV3 systems. These students created a variety of machines to harness the world's natural power and took field trips around ˿Ƶ Tech's campus to explore our renewable energy in action. We look forward to welcoming them back to our LEGO camps next summer!

Happy 75th birthday to ˿Ƶ Tech! The first day of classes were held on Tuesday, July 15, 1947, and the first student to register was Stanley Hasy of Klamath Falls. Thirty-three students were enrolled in auto mechanics, commercial cooking, and automotive body and fender. By April 15, 1948, 515 students had been registered and we were on our way to success. 🎊💙

Fifteen high school students from Klamath, Medford, Merrill, Bend, and Louisiana (yes, Louisiana!) joined us last week to learn more about Geomatics Surveying and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This free five-day residential camp taught students about using high-tech geospatial technology to collect data in the field and analyze the great outdoors.

˿Ƶ Tech students are building new bridges… literally! 🌉 Back in May, our Steel Bridge Team (with @oregontech_asce_agc) competed in the National American Institute of Steel Construction’s Student Steel Bridge Competition held at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. 🌉 They successfully constructed a 147lb bridge that passed vertical loading with a 1.014” aggregate deflection. Now THAT’S putting your statics class to good use!
