The Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech experience is not complete without our many co-curricular activities, which allow students to build on their academic studies in ways that produce dividends—such as work or life experience and, in some cases, a paycheck. These activities, programs and learning experiences complement what you are learning in your coursework and better prepare you for future work environments. Consider them an entry into your field (think: internships), the community (say, volunteering or working at a clinic), or the world (you can spend time studying in Finland and elsewhere). Below are just a few examples.
First Year Experience
Our First-Year Experience brings first-year students together in our Residence Hall to provide additional support—and a yearlong itinerary of activities and events.
Engineering Co-op
The Multiple Engineering Cooperative Program (MECOP) is a robust and selective program that allows students to complete two six-month internships with different companies during their time at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech.
Honors Program
The Honors Program gives students access to Honors courses, priority class registration, and unique retreats and trips.
Diversity and Belonging
Among our many Diversity and Belonging offerings is the Treehouse, a student-run space that helps to foster an inclusive campus culture.
Dental Clinic
The Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech Dental Clinic gives students in the Dental Hygiene program the setting to earn clinical hours, while providing important outreach services for the larger community.
Study Abroad and Exchange
Our Study Abroad and Exchange partnerships allow students to continue their studies while experiencing different corners of the world.
Catalyze Challenge
Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech’s Catalyze Klamath Falls Challenge casts a light on the entrepreneurial spirit that transcends disciplines at the university. Students and alumni put their innovative ideas into a competition with more than $20,000 in prizes on the line.
