˿Ƶ Tech hosted 140 junior high, high school, and college students on Oct. 25 for Ready, Set, Innovate, a hands-on event focused on entrepreneurial and innovative thinking to solve real community issues. Participants worked with community mentors, learning creative problem-solving in team settings. They tackled two real-world challenges: increasing youth opportunities in the area and attracting young professionals to the community. Students applied design-thinking techniques, which focus on solving problems based on the needs of "users" rather than data trends or intuition.

Eight of Klamath’s most historic and influential women - including ˿Ƶ Tech's fifth president, Dr. Martha Anne Dow - have their likenesses displayed in downtown Klamath Falls as part of Healthy Klamath’s Alleyway Activation Project. Artist & elementary educator Ashley Spivey was inspired to paint Dr. Dow because of Spivey's life-changing experience as a student at ˿Ƶ Tech during Dr. Dow’s tenure as President of the university. Thank you, @starrynightstudio and Healthy Klamath - A Certified Blue Zones Community for honoring Dr. Dow at this Alleyway Activation Project.
