Ryan Jones, a junior in Radiologic Science, has been selected to participate in the Student to Leadership Development Program by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, an organization that enhances patient care and safety through education, research, and advocacy. Fewer than 100 students are accepted into the program each year, and only two of the students selected are from ˿Ƶ. Originally from Dallas, Jones is on track to graduate in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in Radiologic Science.

˿Ƶ Tech’s Inaugural Women in STEM Conference will take place on Friday, April 21, 2023. This FREE event will be held on ˿Ƶ Tech’s Portland-Metro campus in Wilsonville, OR. Students from ˿Ƶ’s higher education institutions as well as alumni and professionals in STEM fields are invited. Check-in begins at 8:30am, with the day concluding by 4:00pm.

˿Ƶ Tech Student Affairs staff members Thomas Arce, Director of Student Involvement and Belonging, and Zoé Smiley, New Student Programs Coordinator, recently made a special presentation at the 42nd Annual Conference on the First-Year Experience highlighting the overhaul of the first-year student orientation that Student Involvement and Belonging (SIB) embarked on in 2022. Arce and Smiley presented SIB's integrated model for program development at the conference, sharing the steps they took to align the mission and vision of the first-year experience with ˿Ƶ Tech’s strategic plan.
