A few of my classmates and I were given the opportunity to present to local high school students on the field of nuclear medicine and medical imaging technology as a whole. Overall it was a huge success! We made the presentation interactive to keep them engaged and even taught them a new valuable skill of how to tie a tourniquet! Huge thanks to rickhoylman for giving us another awesome opportunity to represent the program! Feels great getting to promote our field!

˿Ƶ Tech hosted 140 junior high, high school, and college students on Oct. 25 for Ready, Set, Innovate, a hands-on event focused on entrepreneurial and innovative thinking to solve real community issues. Participants worked with community mentors, learning creative problem-solving in team settings. They tackled two real-world challenges: increasing youth opportunities in the area and attracting young professionals to the community. Students applied design-thinking techniques, which focus on solving problems based on the needs of "users" rather than data trends or intuition.
