Celebrating Students

You may nominate multiples students for the same award or one student for several, and a student may nominate him or herself.
Portland-Metro Student Awards
2023-2024 Nomination Cycle
There are four distinct awards for Portland-Metro Students: The Outstanding Academic Achievement Award, the Outstanding Community Service Award, Outstanding Student Involvement Award, and Graduate Student Achievement Award.
Nominations:
Please submit a letter of nomination for each student nominee.
Indicate the student’s name and for which student award you are nominating the person. Nomination is only considered for that specific award and not for others; however, you may nominate a student for more than one award with a separate nomination letter. Include a paragraph or sentence explaining how you know the person you are writing about and the nature of your relationship with them. Also include an evaluation of the student’s skills and accomplishments.
Portland-Metro Awards Nominations are due at midnight on March 20, 2024 to Debbie Kerr at the Portland-Metro Student Services: Office 138 or by email to portland@oit.edu.
Letter of Recommendations:
It is highly encouraged by the Student Awards Commission that the student seeks at least one recommendation letter (no more than 5) from a student, staff, faculty, friend, or community member.
