˿Ƶ Tech Board of Trustees approve $3.5 million in budget cuts and reallocations to meet impacts of COVID-19

˿Ƶ Tech receives approximately 40 percent of its budget from the state; thus, the financial health of the university and the state are intricately linked. The state has estimated that it will take at least four years to get back to pre-COVID employment levels, and up to a decade of structural deficits.

˿Ƶ Tech plans early start for on-campus teaching when students return in fall 2020

The University plans to begin in-person fall classes on September 21, a week earlier than originally scheduled. Resumption of in-person teaching will be guided by Governor Brown’s staging plan for the state to reopen higher education institutions across ˿Ƶ; as well as guidance received from state health, education and other officials.
