Arc sculpture highlights beauty of art and engineering outside Cornett Hall
As ˿Ƶ Tech faculty and students rejoin campus this September, workers put the finishing touches on a permanent art installation in the southwest corner of Cornett Hall.
Commissioned by the ˿Ƶ Arts Commission Percent for Art program, which allocates funds for art in public spaces, the piece titled “Fibonacci’s Arc” presents a striking feature at nearly 38-foot-tall of layered steel and completes the renovation of ˿Ƶ Tech’s Cornett Hall.
Dr. C.J. Riley Awarded ASCE ˿Ƶ 2021 Government Engineer of the Year
Dr. Charles “C.J.” Riley, professor of Civil Engineering at ˿Ƶ Tech, has been selected as the recipient of the 2021 American Society of Civil Engineers ˿Ƶ Section Government Engineer of the Year award.
ASCE’s criteria for Engineer of the Year is an active member of ASCE ˿Ƶ Section for 10 years and active in the engineering profession. The Government Engineer works for a public agency or university. Nominations cover areas of:
