A Little Bit Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Me
I was born and raised in Klamath Falls, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ. Many people harp on it for the small town it is and how there is nothing to do, but I think that's the best part. There is so much to do here that people forget about. Since before I was born, my family has always been the outdoorsy type. Whether that is camping, fishing, hiking, or boating, they do it all and so have I. I especially love chasing the local waterfalls in the summer. As far as academics, I have always strived to be top of the class. That was one of the things I took most seriously. I always turned my homework in on time, met the criteria, and studied hard for my tests. I had a goal in elementary school that I wanted to be valedictorian, and I was. I primarily took STEM classes, as that is and always has been my interest in school.
Why I Chose Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech and My Major
I chose Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech because it is a phenomenal school. Not only that, but it's close to home. I know everybody always says to get out of Klamath, but I'm just not ready. In addition, it has a great Medical Imaging program, which is great for the major I chose, Pre-Medical Imaging. Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech is also a little more affordable than other colleges, which is really important. It's hard to find an affordable school.
My Greatest Learning Experience
The greatest learning experience for me during high school was definitely during my student government class. I say this because that class helped me grow as an individual significantly. I was pushed to do things out of my comfort zone, such as speaking to large crowds regularly, giving intense presentations, as well as being in charge of and organizing events for my peers under their judgment and pressure. I feel as though my character grew amidst this and changed me for the better. I learned to be more thoughtful and caring.
My Plans After Graduation
My plans for the future after graduating with my degree is to hopefully start a job as an ultrasound technician somewhere in Klamath, whether that's at the hospital or other local clinics. If I enjoy the externship my senior year, I may even decide to move somewhere else in Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ to begin my career!
