A Little Bit Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Me

Although I was born in Utah, I have lived more of my life in Klamath. As a child, I attended Pelican Elementary and graduated from Klamath Union High School. Throughout high school, I played sports while in the Honors program. I am the 5th oldest of twelve kids which means I spent a lot of time outside of school babysitting for my family. Most of my older siblings either attended Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech or graduated from there which is one of the reasons why I came here.

Why I Chose Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech and My Major

I chose Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech because it has a great engineering program, and two of my older siblings have graduated from here. I would love to go into the engineering field when I am older, and Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech is one of the best colleges for this degree.

My Influential Professors

I have had two influential professors since attending Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech. The first is Irena Demeshko, and the other is Jim Fischer. I have had both Professor Demeshko and Fischer in three of my classes. Demeshko has helped me in all of my classes, and she is really good when it comes to needing extra help and explaining concepts. I feel like I learn a lot in her classes and enjoy the way she teaches. Fischer has been my professor for most of my math classes, and he teaches similarly to Demeshko. He is great at explaining problems and is thorough in his teaching.

My Greatest Learning Experience At Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech

One of my greatest learning experiences was in the class Strength of Materials. I hadn't realized the power of studying in groups until that class. I originally failed my first test, but after studying with others for the rest of the term, I ended up passing the class with an A. I learned it is better and more productive to study with people who also want to learn.

My Plans After Graduation

I plan on getting a job in my field of study after graduating. I would like to move somewhere new since I've lived in Klamath for most of my life, and I plan on starting a family.
