Extracurricular Activities
Studying Electrical Engineering basics (listed here because I'm doing it outside of school), Italian (as a hobby), attempting to understand Quantum physics (It should count for the "Extra" part of Extracurricular at least!)
A Little Bit Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Me
I have an insatiable curiosity. I've lived in Tucson, Arizona, my whole life doing little more than keeping my face in a book or some science website. I love people, but I don't understand them most of the time. As a result, I find myself studying others rather than socializing with them. I strive to look at things from lots of perspectives and learn more about people. I love to help people when I can, especially my mom. When I was little, I wanted to be an "Everything-Doctor" (specializing in everything) so that I could help my mom feel better because she was always in a lot of pain that the doctors couldn't fix. Now I've realized that I can't stomach half the things that doctors see, so I'll stick to engineering for now.
Why I Chose Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech and My Major
I'm studying electrical engineering because I'm fascinated with how the universe works. Luckily for me, applying my studies of the electromagnetic force is lucrative, so I can continue learning without worrying about bills as much. As for why I chose Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech specifically, it's a reputable school. I hear that women aren't taken as seriously as men are in STEM fields, so I need the advantage of a reputable degree.
My Plans After Graduation
I want to couple my E.E. degree with a Mechanical Engineering degree. Then I'll travel wherever work doesn't take me, starting with the 48 states I haven't been to, then to Sicily, Italy where I had some family. When I'm too old to travel, I'll spend the rest of my life learning whatever I can. I'm hoping to learn Latin, Korean, and quantum physics, just to name a few things.
