Extracurricular Activities

Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech women’s basketball, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech nuclear medicine club

A Little Bit Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Me

I have played basketball my whole life. I have won a state championship and got runner up in state the year after. I play at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech and have been playing for the past three years. 2023-24 will be my senior season before I head to my externship sight for nuclear medicine. I love kids, animals and art. In my free time I like to paint and read. My favorite food is sushi.

Why I Chose Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech and My Major

I chose Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech because of the community atmosphere within our athletic family. I chose medical imaging because I wanted to do something medical and wasn’t sure where it would take me. Eventually, I got into nuclear medicine and love it.

My Influential Professors

My most influential professors are Vanessa Bennett and Rick Hoylman in nuclear medicine as they have really inspired me this past year in my academics and future career path.

My Greatest Learning Experience At Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech

My greatest learning experience has been my athletic career at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech. I have never been more challenged mentally and physically, and it also pushes me to balance my time and studies more than I have before. While being an athlete in a medical program is tough at times, the staff and community at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech help to keep you afloat. I have grown the most from being a college athlete and would say that my greatest learning experience at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech is how to balance everything while working hard in sports but also in the classroom.

My Plans After Graduation

I plan to pursue a further career in nuclear medicine as well as coach basketball for the youth from my hometown community. I see this as a way to give back to the community that helped me get to where I am, and I also just enjoy teaching kids and sports as a whole.
