Men’s Golf

A Little Bit Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Me

I was born and raised in Idaho. I love to hunt, fish and play golf. I find extreme satisfaction in solving problems and helping others.

Why I Chose Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech and My Major

Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech gave me the opportunity to both pursue my desired major and collegiate golf. I had my heart set on engineering early in high school because it played to my strengths of math and science, but over time, fell in love with the idea of solving problems that have a real-world impact.

My Influential Professors

Professor Sean Sloan is by far my most influential professor at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech. I’ve taken just about every class he teaches and am slated to take the test during the course of my senior year. He explains material in a way that makes sense, and he welcomes questions and additional learning. I’ve always felt that he’s extremely accessible and easy to get along with, leading to a high percentage of his students being successful.

My Greatest Learning Experience At Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech

A class I took last year, Machine Design 2, is the final course in a pathway that includes Statics and Strength of Materials. I was able to be successful in those courses, but only after an extreme amount of after-class studying and extra practice problems. Last year, it finally clicked. It was almost euphoric, having a large portion of my previous learning finally snap into place.

My Plans After Graduation

I plan to move back to Idaho to be close to my friends and family. I hope to find a place of employment that allows me to exercise my problem-solving abilities in situations that matter.
