On Feb. 15, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech’s Resilience, Emergency Management and Safety (REMS) Department held a tabletop exercise to further develop the university's preparedness for and resilience to an adverse business disruption.
The exercise included staff from all departments and made significant progress in developing Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech’s business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Participants practiced a simulated business disruption and reviewed and discussed the actions they would take in a particular situation, testing their plans in an informal, low-stress environment.
REMS utilized the tabletop exercise to clarify roles and responsibilities and to identify additional campus mitigation and preparedness needs. REMS will use the exercise to finalize action plans that support continued improvement of university, divisional, and business unit plans.
