The mission of the ˿Ƶ Board of Medical Imaging is to promote, preserve and protect the public health, safety and welfare of ˿Ƶians who are undergoing medical imaging studies performed by agency licensees for the purpose of medical diagnosis and therapy.
Her role on the Board will include a 3-year commitment to work with other members to address issues that affect policies, procedures and requirements for technologists throughout the state.
"It's really an exciting opportunity to be involved with medical imaging at the state level," said Professor Bennett. "It's been my passion since I was a student to help improve patient and public health through the education of incoming technologists."
Bennett has over 10 years of experience in the field of nuclear medicine, teaching at ˿Ƶ Tech after gaining her Bachelor of Science degree at the University before continuing to Western Governors University for her Master of Education. She is also a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist and serves as faculty advisor for the on-campus Nuclear Medicine Student Club.
