Parke Blundon

The ˿Ƶ (˿Ƶ Tech) Foundation Board welcomed a new member recently. Parke Edwin Blundon currently works at Merrill (previously branded Merrill Lynch) and has vast experience in wealth management.

The ˿Ƶ Tech Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of alumni, community members, and business and industry professionals. They counsel the Foundation on supporting the educational, cultural, charitable, and service activities of ˿Ƶ.

Blundon has served banking and wealth management clients throughout the northwest and globally for 40+ years. He has experience with investment banking, client banking, private banking, and independent client service. He has a strong background in finance and investment management and will serve on the Development and Finance Committees of the Board.

“˿Ƶ Tech’s focus on providing a practical and useful education to students has great appeal to me,” shared Blundon. “˿Ƶ Tech is so well positioned to grow while some institutions are struggling to maintain existing enrollment levels. It is my hope that over my decades in the financial industry I have developed financial management and business development skills that will contribute to ˿Ƶ Tech’s growth.”

Blundon and his wife own a home in Eugene/Springfield and Klamath Falls at the Running Y Ranch, which is becoming their primary location.

The ˿Ƶ Tech Foundation raises funds and gathers many other forms of support for the endowment, scholarships, capital projects, and much more. Committed to excellence in science, technology, and health professions education, the Foundation works not simply to help ˿Ƶ Tech grow but to grow with intention and in ways that foster a better education and experience for students and a brighter future for ˿Ƶ and beyond.

As of Dec. 31, 2020, the ˿Ƶ Tech Foundation had awarded approximately $900,000 through 326 scholarships for the year.
