Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ (Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech) will hold a commencement ceremony at the Seattle campus on June 14 to celebrate graduates who are employees at Boeing. Jeremy Brown, Ph.D., founding president of Challis Educational Opportunities, will serve as keynote speaker for the event.

Jeremy Brown, Ph.D., is the founding president of Challis Educational Opportunities, a global education consulting and service provider. He served as president of Portland Community College (PCC) from 2013-15. Prior to PCC, Dr. Brown served as president of Dowling College in New York and as president of Edinboro University in Pennsylvania. Dr. Brown’s other roles include serving as provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at the State University of New York at Canton; chief executive officer of Florida State University-Panama, an American university in Latin America; as associate dean at Princeton University and Yale University; and as a faculty in the physics department at Princeton University.

Dr. Brown has served on various boards, including Portland Business Alliance, St. Vincent Health System, and the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Museum of Science & Industry (OMSI).

Dr. Brown earned a bachelor of science and a Ph.D. in physics at the University of Birmingham in England. His doctoral work in experimental nuclear physics was conducted at both the University of Birmingham and the University of California-Berkeley. He has also held visiting appointments at Oxford University, University of Manitoba, Stellenbosch University, and the National Accelerator Facility in South Africa.

In Klamath Falls, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech will hold two ceremonies to honor graduates. The College of Health, Arts and Sciences ceremony is Friday, June 10, at 2 p.m., and the College of Engineering, Technology and Management will take place Saturday, June 11, at 10 a.m.

Following the Klamath Falls events, the Portland-Metro campus will celebrate Sunday, June 12, at 2 p.m.
