Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech hosted 140 junior high, high school, and college students on Oct. 25 for Ready, Set, Innovate, a hands-on event focused on entrepreneurial and innovative thinking to solve real community issues. Participants worked with community mentors, learning creative problem-solving in team settings. They tackled two real-world challenges: increasing youth opportunities in the area and attracting young professionals to the community. Students applied design-thinking techniques, which focus on solving problems based on the needs of "users" rather than data trends or intuition. Thanks to Cascade Health Alliance and a planning team that included Klamath IDEA, The Lemelson Foundation, Klamath County Economic Development Association, and Sky Lakes Medical Center Office of Innovation & Strategy, students left the event inspired to build a future rooted in community-driven innovation. 🎥 Produced by Kam Osborn, Communication Studies student
