Happy travels to students Jaime Kuchle and Tarrah Bickford, who are headed on a research trip to Finland, Sweden, and Iceland with their professor, Sonja Bickford. Both students are a part of Professor Bickford's undergraduate Business Research (Rural and Arctic) Group. Jaime's project focuses on understanding destination branding, how it is defined, and whether the destination brand influences consumer decision-making, comparing Arctic and Pacific Northwest brands. Tarrah is working on understanding the best practices of corporate tourism and corporate retreats. Professor Bickford believes that introducing students to the larger international market helps them gain valuable exposure to communication and strategies at the global level. We look forward to sharing more about their trip when they return!
