To celebrate #˿����ƵTech75 we are continuing our “Then and Now” series, showcasing life at ˿����Ƶ Tech through all of its different identities and unbelievable moments. 🏀 Our ˿����Ƶ Tech Men’s Basketball Team is ALSO celebrating 75 years, as they were founded along with the school in 1947, back when we were known as the ˿����Ƶ Vocational School. Our Women’s basketball team wouldn’t be founded until 1975 (seriously, what took us so long?!) (Via the Athletic Heritage Hall on the ˿����Ƶ Tech website). 🏀 Through the years, our student section would have a pep band and cheer squad (originally known as the “Yell Leaders” in 1951). And boy did they get rowdy! We need to bring back that energy. We even had the Harlem Globetrotters perform at our school in 1975! 🏀 The current Danny Miles Court we have, dedicated to the former coach of the same name for his 5 national titles, opened in 2012. ➡️TOMORROW, Friday January 20th at 5:30pm PST be sure to show up and cheer on our #HustlinOwls as we take on the number one ranked NAIA team for the first time in TWENTY FIVE YEARS!
