It’s Draw Day for @dmsoregontech! This week has been highly-anticipated for our medical students, as juniors in their respective programs get to find out where they will be going to gain real practice in the field on an 11-month externship! How does it work? Students participate in a random, lottery-style drawing for available hospitals that partner with ˿����Ƶ Tech all across the country. For some, this includes moving to an entirely new state! To the layperson, Diagnostic Medical Sonography (or D.M.S. for short) is often only thought of for pregnancies. But it has so many different uses in the medical field! They use non-ionizing ultrasound equipment to produce 2D and 3D images of various organs in your body to make sure patients’ insides are healthy. Hootie loved getting scanned and has wings crossed that you all get the location you’re hoping for!
