Congratulations to all the student competitors who participated in the 10th annual Catalyze Klamath Challenge on April 24! Eight entrepreneurial teams from ˿Ƶ Tech pitched product ideas and business concepts, competing for $19,500 in seed funding to help launch their ventures. 🏆 2025 Winning Projects: First Place – Business Track Southern Cascades Resort, Kai Hazelbaker – $5,000 Hazelbaker’s concept brings skiing to Pelican Butte in Klamath Falls using snowcat machines for mountain access. First Place – Technology Track ReTee Golf, Quincy Beyrouty – $5,000 Beyrouty’s golf tee prototype repurposes used golf grips to support a more sustainable sports industry. Second Place – Business Track Crater Cider Company, Alex Lumbreras – $3,000 Second Place – Technology Track RPM Skis, Marla Goodspeed, Logan Miller, Toby Ruston, and Tychon Preston – $3,000 People’s Choice Award ReTee Golf – $2,000 Klamath IDEA Entrepreneur in Action Crater Cider Company – $1,000 Innovation Hub Encore Award Youthtopia, Colton Hurst – $500 InventOR Award ReTee Golf – $500 prototyping grant OpSyn Labs received a Wild Card entry into the InventOR finals on June 27.
