We're excited to share that Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech has launched a new partnership to provide college-level biology classes to Bonanza Jr./Sr. High School students.
Students in the program are currently participating in live, real-time lectures led by an Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech instructor and supported in person by a teacher at Bonanza. In addition, students visit Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech’s campus twice each term for hands-on lab sessions. These labs help them connect what they learn online to practical experiences, enhancing their understanding of biology.
This collaboration was developed due to a need for specialized classes in rural schools, which often face challenges in offering advanced courses like biology. Students in the program can earn up to four college credits per term, which can be transferred to other universities or count toward their future degree at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech. This helps them build a strong academic foundation while still in high school.
Bonanza Principal Jordan Osborn stated that this partnership is a significant opportunity for students and hopes to expand it in the future.
