Our study abroad team has returned! The end of their visit included: 🍃 A visit to Lapin AMK - Lapland University of Applied Sciences for students and teachers to engage in cross-cultural exchange and explore leadership, sustainable transformation, and innovation themes in Finland's Lapland region. 🔥 A traditional Finnish campfire session hosted by Lapland Finnish students. 🕹 Visiting the Lapland FrostBIT lab for VR simulations and to learn about entrepreneurship and technological advancement. 🍫 Touring the @fazersuomi Experience Visitor Centre in Vantaa Finland, to learn about the 130-year-old brand and its sustainable practices and innovation. 🇸🇪 A stopover in Stockholm. 🇮🇸 Lastly, two days in Iceland, learning about the country's culture, people, geothermal resources, architecture, and more! Professor Sonja Bickford believes that travel and experiences bring people together as a group or team. Throughout the trip, these students and faculty discussed various sustainability topics, but they also stopped to enjoy the scenery or have fun.
