Students from the Intercultural Communication class (COM 205) visited Kingsley Field 173rd Fighter Wing to learn more about military culture, specifically the Jet Fighter traditions and rituals. Led by their instructor, AJ Davila a former combat Marine of the Iraq War, students were able to tour areas on base, receive class led instructions by Captain "Fantom" McCoy on operational status and instructions of the basic mission for the F15 "Eagle," and the students even got to see the "Eagle" up close and personal. The ethnographic approach allows students to immerse themselves into an environment to better understand the content and material applied in the classroom teachings.
