Software Engineering Technology students, Rowan Parker and Rianna Delgado, have been recognized as Grace Hopper Scholars by AnitaB.org, a non-profit which empowers women and under-tapped communities in technical fields, guides the organizations that employ them, and supports the academic institutions training the next generation.
With the award, Rowan and Rianna receive full scholarships to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration, the world’s largest gathering of women technologists.
Rowan is studying Software Engineering Technology and Applied Mathematics with a plan to graduate in 2022 and Rianna is studying Software Engineering Technology and planning to graduate in 2021. Also a shout-out to Rianna's parents, who are alumni of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech!
