Biography

Jessie retired from Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Health & Science University (OHSU) after more than 40 years as a clinical nutrition manager and renal dietitian. She is currently an adjunct instructor at OHSU and Rutgers University, and an associate instructor for Clackamas Community College and Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ.

Jessie received her BS in Zoology from Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ State University and her MS in Nutrition Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and an MS in Healthcare Management from OHSU.

Jessie currently is a member of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Political Action Committee (ANDPAC) Board and serves as Delegate to the House of Delegates for the Renal Practice Group. She is a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Renal Nutrition, Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Manual and eatrightPREP.  She is also a site visitor for ACEND.

Jessie is a member of the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Board of Licensed Dietitians and a member of the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Academy policy team. In the past, Jessie has served as President of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and as a Speaker of the House of Delegates. Commissioner for CDR, and President of the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Academy.

Jessie is a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the National Kidney Foundation.
