for a celebration and ribbon cutting for the revitalized track and field!

Celebrate alongside Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech's track and field teams and gold medal Olympians as Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech officially unveils the new track and field facilities, which will allow Klamath Falls to be synonymous with Elite Track and Field competition. This facility is a community asset that benefits all University students, faculty, and staff, the broader Klamath Falls community, as well as the entire region. While building community pride and enhancing local economic revenue through increased visitors to the region, a new track with enhanced facilities allows for the return of community events like high school championships, fundraisers, outdoor concerts, and sports.

The new track and field is already strengthening student recruitment and retention efforts, highlighting Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech’s distinctive real-world education and the value that it brings to even more talented students.

Olympic Size Support

Join in with Olympic Gold Medalists and world-record holders, Dan O’Brien and Ashton Eaton to celebrate the track and field facility revitalization. Dan and Ashton united with Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech’s broad base of community supporters to promote the University’s next strategic athletic project to restore the track and field facility.

Ashton and Dan are both from small towns in Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ and their enthusiastic endorsement of this project shows its value, both to Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech and to the entire region. Attending a home track meet is a thrill for all comers, including kids seeing their first 100m final to Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech’s very own athletes competing with their own crowd cheering them on to run faster, jump higher, and throw farther.

Dan O'Brien
For 43 years, this track and field facility has been an integral gathering place for Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech and the Klamath Falls community. This project is an exciting opportunity to bring it back to its glory.

This facility will have an immediate impact on every student-athlete who comes through Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech’s track and field and cross-country programs, and every person who steps onto this field. Investment in projects like this helps to show the forward momentum of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech.

Securing Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech’s Future

The top-notch Track and Field program continues to recruit an average of 55 stellar student-athletes who excel in speed, strength, and physical endurance. This newly revitalized track and field with improved facilities is enabling further growth opportunities for the program allowing for more than 80 track, field, and cross-country student-athletes. Increasing enrollment is important to a healthy institution and fits perfectly within Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech’s Strategic Plan. Meanwhile, participation in athletics provides additional belonging and benefits to student-athletes.

Track and field gives exposure to elite athletes. Even the smallest schools can place their athletes on the biggest stage, and let their times and measures do the talking. The renovated track and field may even help discover the next Dan O’Brien or Ashton Eaton.

Mark French
The renovation for the track means a lot to me because over the time that I’ve been here, we’ve advanced our program to be exceptional. Our coach has done a lot of great work to make us into the elite programs that we are today. Having a new track goes into advancing the success and the future potential that we can have as athletes.
