Major/ Program: Renewable Energy Engineering

I’m a Renewable Energy Engineering student at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech. Growing up in Roseburg, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ, I graduated from Roseburg High before spending six years in the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Army National Guard, where I worked on communications equipment and security. I then earned three associate degrees from Lane Community College before transferring to Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech. I chose Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech because of its hands-on approach, supportive environment, and the alignment of its program with my passion for renewable energy. As Vice President of the student body last year, I led the installation of a new student lounge, helped implement a year-out scheduling policy, and advocated for educational funding in Salem. These experiences strengthened my leadership skills and deepened my commitment to both my community and my field of study. I’m excited to continue working towards a sustainable future through my studies and future career in renewable energy.

Major/ Program: CSET Software Engineering

I’m an Embedded Systems Engineering student. I’m originally from a small agricultural town in California. After moving to the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Coast during high school, I found an intense passion for computer science and robotics. By dual enrolling in my community college, SWOCC, I was only able to go so far with the limited curriculum. In an attempt to cultivate and grow my passion further, I decided that OIT would be the best fit for me. Before becoming the ASOIT Vice President, I previously had been a peer tutor for OIT and had occasionally helped Student Involvement & Belonging with events and promotions. Further before that, I was a part of the National Honors Society where I had engaged in lots of leadership roles. Now I’m excited and ready to use my professional skills to help OIT.

Major/ Program: CSET Software

I grew up in Portland, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ. My interest in programming began during a brief foray into game development. After earning an Associate of Science degree from Portland Community College, I transferred to Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech to pursue a bachelor’s in software engineering technology. My time at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech has been enhanced by various campus roles, allowing me to connect with the student community. Before becoming the Admin Officer of ASOIT, I spent a year working at the campus information center, where I gained valuable experience in supporting fellow students. In addition to my ASOIT responsibilities, you may also find me working as a cashier in student services, providing assistance to students. These experiences have fostered my commitment to leadership and campus involvement, while also helping me grow both personally and professionally.
