Non-Degree Enrollment Status

Non-degree status is an option for students seeking:
  1. Classes for personal enrichment, special interest, or to enhance job skills
  2. Coursework without necessarily seeking a degree at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech
  3. Part-time enrollment for students who do not yet meet Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech's admission requirements

FAQs

Students may earn a certificate or specialization from Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech as a non-degree seeking student. However, if you want to earn an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree from Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech you must be admitted. Please contact and meet with an Admissions Counselor to assist with eventual admission to the university. Non-Degree students are cautioned that taking classes as a non-degree status does not guarantee eventual admission to Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech. Non-Degree students, even those who perform well in their Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech classes, must also meet eligibility requirements for Freshman or Transfer admissions requirements to be formally admitted for degree completion.

Non-Degree students can take up to 8 credits per term.

Some services such as financial aid, academic advising, and transfer evaluation are not offered to non-degree students. Without formal admission there is no binding agreement between the student and the university for completing an Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech degree.

To submit a non-degree application, Apply Online no later than one week prior to the start of class. Official transcripts are not required to obtain non-degree status, but students must provide them to verify pre-requisites for registration purposes. Non-degree students are subject to the Registration Policies of the Office of the Registrar.

Yes. International students who are attending another college or university may take classes from Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech as a non-degree student with prior permission from their international student advisor at the institution holding the I-20.

As a non-degree seeking student, registration will open up later than current Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech students. Please see  for your registration date (listed as Non-Admitted Students). Typically this will be about 2 weeks after the first registration date.
