˿Ƶ Tech’s Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology (BSMET) is an applied engineering technology program. Mechanical engineering technologists are needed throughout the design process of mechanical products to create blueprints, processes for assembly, to streamline production, provide quality assurance, and to inspect and test completed products. Without the work of mechanical engineering technologists, the products designed by engineers could not be produced with the efficiency and accuracy technologists provide.

As a mechanical engineering technologist, you can be hired in a variety of industries and can specialize in a variety of areas, including energy systems, applied mechanics, automotive design, manufacturing, materials, plant engineering and maintenance, pressure vessels and piping, heating, refrigeration, and air-conditioning systems.

The diverse and hands-on field of Manufacturing Engineering Technology is where leaders and innovators gain a career path.

As leaders in technology and managers of innovation, manufacturing engineering technologists are experts in how things work and how they’re made.

Student often demonstrate their projects at the Student Project Symposium.

Manufacturing engineering technology is responsible for the production of a variety of consumer and industrial goods from Boeing new 777x planes to designer jeans to dialysis machines. Through the use of computer aided equipment and other planning tools to assess manufacturing processes, a manufacturing engineering technologist is on the lookout for ways to reduce cost, increase productivity, innovate equipment, and improve quality for a variety of consumer and industrial goods.

The Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology (BSMFG) at ˿Ƶ Tech offers a state-of-the-art and career-focused education, preparing students for an exciting and successful future. Whether it’s working with robots and industrial scale computers or in cutting-edge labs, we bring engineering theory alive through hands-on application. In our exciting program, students learn the theory and application of computer-based engineering design and manufacturing tools, modern manufacturing processes, multidisciplinary teamwork, and basic and advanced hardware and technology.

  • OT will respond promptly and effectively to reports of sexual violence.
  • If OT knows (or should reasonably know) about possible sexual violence, it will promptly conduct a neutral investigation to determine what occurred and then take appropriate steps to resolve the situation.
  • The person who experienced sexual violence will be informed of their options to notify law enforcement. If there is a criminal investigation, OT will continue its efforts to resolve reports promptly and effectively.
  • Complainant and Respondent will have timely access to information that will be used in a student conduct hearing.
  • Complainant and Respondent will both have the opportunity to have an advisor present, present evidence, and have witnesses speak during disciplinary proceedings.
  • Both parties will be informed in writing of the outcome of any OT disciplinary proceeding.
  • Both parties have a right to appeal the decision.
