A Little Bit Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Me

I grew up outside of Eugene, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ in the very small, cozy town of Elmira, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ. I have two siblings who are 8 and 11 years old whom I love dearly. I enjoy road trips, hiking, camping, stargazing, and going on adventures with my dog! I am a diagnostic medical sonography major and am loving every second of my education here at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech! Becoming a sonographer has been the greatest journey thus far, and I've even made some lifelong friends along the way. I can't wait to see what the future holds and I am determined to make a difference as a sonographer.

Why I Chose Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech and My Major

I chose to attend Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech because every sonographer I job shadowed had attended Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech and informed me that there was not a better school in the nation than Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech in Klamath Falls. The education Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech offers is unlike any other school, and I am so grateful to learn here. I chose DMS as my major because I enjoy being the person to assist in a diagnosis that may change a patient's life.

My Influential Professors

My most influential professor was Dr. Tanya McVay. I have never met an instructor so caring towards her students. Dr. McVay truly wanted her students to succeed and always sacrificed her time to allow for learning. She has an incredibly intelligent mind and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from her. Due to her excellent teaching, I am proud to say that I passed my SPI board examination this past June.

My Greatest Learning Experience At Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech

My greatest learning experience at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech is definitely to be confident in my abilities. As a sonography student, it's easy to feel in over your head and overwhelmed. However, in my time here at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Tech, I have learned that I am capable of great things and can achieve anything when I put my mind to it. There is no limit to the things I will learn!

My Plans After Graduation

After graduating with my degree, I plan to work as a sonographer at a clinic or hospital. I hope to travel during that time, when I am able to, and eventually purchase a home when I settle down. I hope to experience stability and begin to start a family of my own.
