⁣ Social distancing is ongoing in response to the coronavirus outbreak, but work continues to get done. We are making great progress on oregontech‘s new Center for Excellence in Engineering and Technology. The project includes new classrooms, high-bay labs, and lots of space for department and graduate offices. Central to the design is a large maker space, giving students of any major the opportunity to come in and work on projects.

Construction is moving along at the ˿����Ƶ Tech campus. The new 80,000 SF CEET building will soon be home to the expanded multidisciplinary College of Engineering, Technology and Management.

Six ˿����Ƶ Tech/OHSU students from the state’s only bachelor’s program in Medical Laboratory Science were recognized for their academic and other accomplishments with awards of national and state scholarships amounting to $18,500. Congratulations to Mariana Salcido, Molly Wynn, Kyar Thin, Laura Kelley, Isis-Dominique Navarro and Trevor Davis! Known for the highly competitive nature of the program, admitting only 50 students per year, the joint degree between ˿����Ƶ Tech and OHSU was established by OHSU is the only four-year degree program of its kind in the state.
